Mission:
"The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination."
Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers can assist in a variety of ways including helping with food drives, disaster services, office assistance, serving holiday meals or meals at the Community Kitchen, helping in the Family Store/ Warehouse, and more.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be 18 or older, and have a guardian’s signature if under 18 years along with Chaperone during volunteering.
Training:
Volunteers are matched with appropriate opportunities for their skills and experience, and all necessary training is provided on-site.
Time Commitment:
There are a variety of time commitments, ranging from regular and ongoing to seasonal. Serving Meals is a 2 hour time commitment, and all other volunteer opportunities are at least 1.5 hours.
Group Volunteering:
Groups of 10 or less are welcome and encouraged.
Recommended For:
Students in the fields of Human Services and Education, Allied Health and Nursing, Emergency Services, Communications, and many more.

Volunteers benefit by learning more about various professional fields, improving their community, and learning more about how non-profits work.
